Lafayette Parish School System Positivity

It is the sixth largest and second most diverse school system in the state, with approximately 4,100 employees and nearly 31,000 students—18% of whom have exceptionalities. Broussard Middle School is one of 11 middle schools within the district.
The Challenge
Prior to implementing n2y’s Positivity, Broussard Middle School faced issues of elopement, and some students were exhibiting self-injurious behavior. In addition, students had difficulties during times of transition and problems communicating feelings in a socially appropriate manner.
Broussard Middle School needed a comprehensive behavior management solution that would:

- Assist staff in teaching self-regulation skills
